Just a bit of a random entry today. I'd like to talk about one of the Wii's launch games. There's not a lot to say about Ubisoft's GT Pro Series except that unlike a lot of fanboys on gaming forums, I really do like that little game!
I know, I know. Just about every site that I go to slam that game for being a last generation port with really cruddy graphics. Well I didn't get it to oggle at how pretty the game looks. Yeah, it's ugly but I just wanted to try out an honest to goodness racing game and GT Pro Series actually delivered. I will admit though that steering around those sharp curves took a lot of getting used to. Mostly because most of the starting cars turned pretty bad without modifications. Of course it may be because I was just starting but whatever, I liked the controls. Very old school arcade. Another plus I found about that game was the music. It was very retro. And being a child of the 80's it was actually very welcoming. :)
There's a lot to be unlocked by finishing the cups, like better cars and parts. I haven't gotten everything yet but, I'm getting there. This isn't a review of the game because I don't really like to put a score to things like this. The way I see it, if a game is something that I like that brings me back every now and then, it's a good game no matter what others say. Thoughts?
