A superb one-shot graphic novel from June Kim, with non-linear storytelling and haunting and sad images to convey the lost and heart-break experienced when losing a loved one.
Visually stunning, June Kim's story often flows wordless, with the images expressing the feeling and thoughts of the main characters. In juxtaposition, several pages are without images, with harsh white words on black pages, further expanding both the emptiness and hurt felt.
If you looking to read something that is challenging and will also challenge you, this must be read now. Indeed, it's the kind of book that will require re-reading, due to the subtleness of the text. Therefore, I can highly recommend this book.
Outstanding work from June Kim, in a book that makes a Tokyopop proud publisher of highest quality of manga.
