Nomunication

December just seemed to creep up like a sneaky cat upon the fence terrorizing you with her heat song. I was beginning the count. It was not because I wanted to leave in three weeks but it was because I didn't. I only had three weeks left. That meant three weeks left with Gobunka and at that point I knew we wouldn't get anywhere but I was making my time count. The first week was like any other week. It was until it got to Wednesday. I was in Japanese Songs class and I heard that it was one of my friend's birthday that day. She said she was having a party at a club on Saturday. Now I've been hanging out with her but she always picks the expensive places and just uses plastic. It's a screwed way to be but yeah she is. So I wasn't interested. Now flash forward to class that day later.

We have a fifteen minute break at three o'clock. I always shoot to the bathroom at this time after I came back Justin was speaking to Saisho and Gobunka. Then I just came over and Justin said "They wanna go to the zoo and Gobunka was wondering if you wanted to go with him." I said "Sure. when?" So we were going on Sunday.  Being that I was super broke this week and had a date I was not going to the club that weekend. That's all I looked forward to that week. I didn't care how much fun going drinking sounded I was not doing it. Sadly I forgot where we were supposed to meet that morning.

So I was glad to meet Justin on Friday and ask him. So we were going to meet on Sunday in front of Studio Alta at 9:00. Great that's pretty darn early.  That Saturday night Tokyo froze over. Maybe that was a sign of Hell freezing over. I don't know. I had spent quite a bit of money on washing and I couldn't dry so clothes were hanging all over my apartment. But before that my light had blown and I had asked the dorm manger to put a new one in Japanese nonetheless! And he put the most ghetto light in. Didn't matter to me though as long as I could see. But I'm glad he came in before I had done that.  So I slept well that night. I didn't care that he might stand me up again I was still going somewhere.

The next morning at 7 I awakened to the sound of my DS as usual and put on whatever wasn't wet and got dressed. I was so busy sorting my clothes that I left the dorm late. I figured "Hey they'll wait for me." I caught the usual express train to Shibuya and the second train into Shinjuku. I braved the underground tunnels and came out a Citibank and grabbed some money. After that I went to Studio Alta. I went the wrong way and got a little lost but it was 9 when I got there. Actually it was two minutes till. I didn't see anybody until I came up close. Apparently both Justin and Saisho were there early. But where was-- I decided not to ask about Gobunka. That just seemed appropriate at this moment.

So we went through the underground tunnels and we were going to catch the Yamanote line. She said we were going to go to Ikebukuro to and she whispered in my ear "to get Go-san. So yeah we were going to Ikebukuro which I have never been to and we were going to get him. Yay so he wasn't going to stand me up. We were going to make sure of that. When we get outside of the train station Saisho acts as if she has no clue what place Gobunka even works at. Turns out he works at Lotteria which is by the way my  favorite fast food place in all of Asia (okay in Korea and Japan at least I don't care what you say Nintendo). We noticed he worked there by the fact that he waved at us from the back. He is a pretty tall guy so it makes sense.

So the rule in Japan is as long as you buy something you can hang out at a fast food establishment for 10 hours. So we got drinks and waited for him. Oh we waited so long. But we had a good talk in Japanese (very limited Japanese seeing as I can listen but really can't speak). We talked about everything from how Saisho steals from her job to how we feel about certain teachers. It was then that I Gobunka decided to check up on us. I just felt so flushed (and a little wet) when he came in and wished he'd leave. That he did however only to appear later, eat whatever food Saisho brought (I noticed how generous other cultures are), and we went on out way to Ueno to the Zoo.

We actually went to see the panda but it had passed away recently, what a bummer. So we just walked around, pausing every now and then for Gobunka to take pictures of everything. And I mean everything. Still just being with him just made me fill full so having to talk to him was just a step in the future that I was all but ready for.

After a while it was lunch time and I really didn't have any money. It was so nice of Saisho to buy me lunch. Thanks again. After that we took a rest and had a Chinese lesson or two. Basically it was how to ask Gobunka if he liked me or not. Of course in the end of pointless torture he told me that he didn't know. Well I wasn't going to let that fly. So I asked why and he wound up saying that we live just too dang far away from each other. I either buy this as he does like me or he doesn't. I really don't know. Maybe I should ask. Anyway we got on the train back home.  Thanks again for giving me train fare. So on the way home I played with his cell phone and got his e-mail. I'm still debating rather I should text the phone or not. Maybe I will. And then he fell asleep on me *squee*. Awesome.  So they got off at Shinjuku and I stayed on to Shibuya. Should have gotten off at Shinjuku like they had because if I had I wouldn't have fallen down the steps at Hachiko in Shibuya at rush hour. Besides the pain from the fall. I have the embarrassment to face in school the next day.

My last week was filled with slow preparations for leaving the country. I really didn't want to leave so I was doing it slowly. Class was at its crunch time and I was just trying to pass. So I did my work without thinking of Gobunka, passed my mid-terms and then it was the end. I had gone to my closing ceremony, said my speech and ate all the food while saying goodbye. Then I took whatever money I went to Shin-Okubo.

A little late for the party but everyone was happy to see us. I downed drink after drink seeing as Shu Shine (some creepy guy that likes me) and I knew I needed a whole lot. Did I mention he never comes to anything? I kind of like my parties Shu Shine-less. Anways we talked, had fun and my favorite teacher came. I wound up hugging up with Gobunka and eating the world's hottest wings before carting my drunk self back to my dorm past curfew. Good thing the dorm manager was still at the window or else I would have just slept in the hallway.

I woke up the next morning at 5:00am without any money to get myself back to the airport. Great so I argued with my mother on msn before seeing my friend and borrowing some cash to get to the airport. Now I had five bags to carry and well three trains to catch. I didn't have money to send a bag ahead of time so I was just going to hump it all the way to the airport but the dorm manager's husband decided to drive me to the next station over Kagaya which was just up the street. Why didn't we come in at Kagaya instead? I don't know.  I rolled my luggage onto the Den-en-Toshi Line and rode to Shibuya. Once there I had a real heavy load and one of the workers there helped me carry my luggage to the elevator, another helped me with my fare and I finally made it out on the Shibuya streets with my luggage.  Then I went up the escalator and onward to Ueno on the Yamanote Line which was a while. So I got off there and another man helped me with my luggage so that I can roll it to the Kesei station.  Once I got in there I had more help so this is a shout out to all the people who helped me: thanks a lot!

Got on the train, rode to Narita and got off (slowly yes, almost had my stuff closed in the train) then I rolled up to the airport. I was so glad to check in my bags even if there was only two of them out of the five that I carried around all day. It was a breath of fresh air after carrying them around all day. Then after that I learned that there's a huge snowstorm going on and that they might have to divert to another airport. Great. So I carried my three remaining bags (I looked no less like the bag lady than I did before) and walked through the airport and well got a little lost.  After finding myself I just got inline to get on the plane and was back in my vacuum that I came in on the way home. I left Tokyo and warm temperatures behind and is now back home and wondering how I am going to pay that internet bill.  That's it. I'm thinking of posting the mini blogs on my gaming blog here:
