Psychic Academy is a warm, engaging manga, with slices of romance and excitement. Set in a slightly alternate world where people have special abilities and, on occasion, use them to fight, this manga manages to deliver a good dose of action, interspersed with a touch of mystery and little bit of warm fuzzy feelings. The characters are all gorgeous, and the main character, Ai, is perfect in his role. The supporting cast manage to be original and easy to empathise with, although I must admit to having my favorites. The plot is interesting and has many classic scenes that have drawn me back to read and re-read again. There are a few clichés that pop up here and there, but the times when I've suddenly stumbled across a scene which grabs me and makes me go 'Wow!' makes it all worth it. This manga is easy to understand and it's not overly complicated, with the plot easing you into the story gradually as well as introducing the characters as a pace which makes you appreciate them all the more makes this a good manga to buy is you're new to the manga scene. It's also good if you're used to action and want to ease into a different genre, or if you like romance but want something with a little bit more excitement. If you've watch the anime, than don't worry, the manga is nothing like it. The manga for Psychic Academy is on a completely different level, and well worth your time.
